Founder & Psychotherapist
If you’ve spent your life feeling built differently, you probably were.
Neurodivergence is not a disorder to eliminate — it is a neurotype to understand and support intentionally.
I am a New York–based licensed therapist providing telehealth psychotherapy for adults across NYC and New York State. My clinical focus includes neurodivergent adults — including individuals who identify as Autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD — as well as adults across the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
As someone who is AuDHD, I bring both clinical training and lived experience to this work. I understand the cumulative impact of navigating educational systems, workplaces, and relationships that were not structured with neurodivergent nervous systems in mind. This informs a therapy space centered on clarity, regulation, and collaborative problem-solving.
Many clients present with complex trauma histories, chronic anxiety, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, depressive patterns, relational stress, identity-based strain, and executive functioning challenges. Others are managing the physiological and psychological impact of sustained masking, environmental overstimulation, and long-term nervous system activation.
My approach integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy, adapted cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training, and exposure-based treatment for OCD. Sessions are structured yet flexible, clinically grounded, and tailored to how your nervous system and executive functioning patterns operate.
Rather than focusing on making you conform to misaligned environments, our work centers on nervous system regulation, reduction of shame-based narratives, improved functional strategies, and sustainable change that aligns with your identity and lived context.
Angela DeGiaimo, LCSW
Clinical Supervisor & Director
I specialize in working with teens and young adults navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
As a social worker, I view therapy as inherently shaped by broader systems such as racism, poverty, and ableism, and my work is grounded in anti-oppressive, social justice–oriented values. Drawing from experience in hospital systems, emergency psychiatry, and community mental health—as well as my background as a former foster parent and current adoptive parent—I offer collaborative, affirming care for neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+ clients, individuals navigating complex family dynamics, and those seeking a therapeutic space that is honest, relational, and supportive.
